Professor Caroline Lee publishes two new books

Congrats to Professor Caroline Lee, associate professor of anthropology & sociology, who has two newly published books!

In Do-It-Yourself Democracy (Oxford University Press), Professor Lee offers an ethnographic analysis of the public engagement industry. Her second book, Democratizing Inequalities (NYU Press; co-edited with Ed Walker and Mike McQuarrie) is an edited volume about the challenges of “the new public participation”– the dramatic expansion of democratic practices in organizations of all types– in an era of stark economic inequalities.
