We have had a bumper crop of terrific guest lectures this semester! Assistant Professor of Sociology at Colby College Jun Fang, and author of a forthcoming book, When China Meets Hollywood, presented April 2nd in Prof. Rui Jie Peng’s A&S 256: Social Change in China course.

On April 8th, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Law at Stanford University Matthew Clair, author of Privilege and Punishment: How Race and Class Matter in Criminal Court, presented in Prof. Kissane’s A&S 220: Who Gets What and Why course.

Anthony Abraham Jack, Associate Professor of Higher Education Leadership at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development and author of The Privileged Poor: How Elite Colleges Are Failing Disadvantaged Students and Class Dismissed: When Colleges Ignore Inequality and Students Pay the Price, presented on April 29th in Prof. Kissane’s A&S 217: Poverty in the United States.
