The Emile Durkheim Society (A&S student club) will be hosting a documentary screening of the PBS special series of “America at the Crossroads.” We will be watching one of the documentaries from the series, “The Muslim Americans.” The 1 hour-long film highlights the daily struggles of Muslim Americans in a post-9/11 society and describes how Muslim Americans adapt to the ever-changing political atmosphere of the country while maintaining their identities. Professor Youshaa Patel of the Religious Studies Department will provide a brief introduction to the documentary as well as provide a Q&A session afterwards. Pizza and soda will be served!
