This year’s Hatfield Lecture was given by Valeria Luiselli, who shared her work in progress, Echoes from the Borderlands, a 24-hour sonic essay of the U.S.-Mexico border. Our very own Assistant Professor of Anthropology Mónica Salas Landa introduced Luiselli at the lecture, which A&S co-sponsored. Luiselli also visited with Prof. Salas Landa’s classes in OCGE 107 during lunchtime for a wide-randing discussion of migration and border stories. Follow the @ht94lafayette Instagram account for more information on Luiselli’s visit and other migration-related events on campus.
