On Monday, December 1, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, there will be a film screening of the documentary A Closer Walk in Oechsle 224. Following the film will be a panel discussion featuring Professor Childs (Psychology), Professor Stifel (Economics), Professor Yuster (Mathematics), Professor Kissane (A&S), and Professor Ahene (Africana Studies). The documentary explores the “underlying causes of AIDS; the relationship between health, dignity, and human rights; and the universal need for action, compassion, and commitment to counter what has become the worst plague in human history” (http://www.acloserwalk.org/about_the_film/).
