At 3:10 pm on Friday October 19th, the economics department is hosting a talk by sociologist Claire Kamp-Dush from Ohio State University titled, “Marriage in the US: Linking Cherlin’s Deinstitutionalization and Becker’s Specialization in Contemporary Marriages.” This should be an interesting presentation linking the work of a renowned sociologist (Cherlin) with a renowned economist (Becker), so mark your calendars!
