On March 7, 2013 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. (in the Hugel Science Center, room 100), Erin Augis, associate professor of sociology at Ramapo College of New Jersey, will offer a presentation on “Young Sunni Women in Contemporary Senegal.” Dr. Augis will talk about her research on Sunni Muslim women in Senegal, the appeal of joining religious reform movements, and the realities of the challenges that such young women face.
