A&S Faculty Recognized for Excellence

Join us in congratulating Professor David Shulman and Professor Andrea Smith for their recent accolades.

David Shulman, professor of sociology, has been appointed to an endowed chair effective next year. He will be the David M. ’70 and Linda Roth Professor of Anthropology and Sociology.

David Shulman also is the recipient of the Thomas Roy and Lura Forrest Jones Award for superior teaching and scholarly contributions to a discipline.

In addition, the Faculty Award for Excellence in Community Engagement Pedagogy went to Andrea Smith, professor of anthropology.

The A&S department couldn’t be prouder of Professors Smith and Shulman–these awards are well-deserved recognition of their stellar teaching and scholarship!
