This session will explore how media coverage of Black protest employs racist language, images, and signaling. Participants will then have the opportunity to discuss and practice techniques for verifying sources and finding alternative voices when encountering questionable information, using media coverage of the George Floyd protests as an example. Moderated by Neha Vora and Ben Jahre.
