Dr. Vivian Chenxue Lu, Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Faculty Affiliate of African and African American Studies at Fordham University, was the distinguished presenter on March 2, 2023 at the A&S Department’s 4th Annual Ethnographic Research Symposium. She presented work related to her first book project, which focuses on the politics of commercial profit amongst the extensive migratory circulations of Nigerian businessmen across contemporary trade sites in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
The A&S Department’s annual Ethnographic Research Colloquium is funded by our Ethnographic Research Fund, and gives students of all years at the College an opportunity to discuss research techniques and challenges with leading ethnographers in anthropology and sociology. Thanks to Prof. Vora for organizing this presentation and thanks to Dr. Vivian Chenxue Lu for her visit!
