Our very own Bria London ’24 (Psych/A&S double major with a minor in Spanish) presented on a panel on “Higher Ed in Jails: Our Current Landscape” at the Response and Repair: Higher Education, Corrections, and Solidarity Conference at Muhlenberg College. Bria is a Service Corps Scholar pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) with a Masters in Criminal Justice (MCJ) at Widener University. She discussed her experience at Lafayette in WGSS Prof. Tara Gilligan’s WGS 249: Women in the U.S. Criminal Justice System course, a community-based learning course that takes place in the Northampton County Prison, and how it influenced her passion for a career supporting individuals with mental health challenges and those with criminal justice involvement so that they can thrive in their everyday lives and communities. Bravo Bria!
